The display type is a resistive touchscreen TFT monochrome display which supports 256 shades of gray graphics and a resolution of 800 x 600 pixels. The IC754VSI12MTD is powered by an XScale CPU at 300 MHz and it has 32 MB of DRAM (expandable to 96 MB via a memory expansion slot). A compact flash slot (Type 2) is available on the system which can support one 512 MB CF card. The IC754VSI12MTD uses the MS Windows CE as the operating system and comes pre-loaded with the Proficy View Machine Edition software. Two LEDs – one LED for power another tri-color LED which is user-programmable - provide status information and aid in troubleshooting.
