Editorial Policy & Content Sourcing
Source-first, never invented
Specifications on this site are reproduced from the manufacturer's published datasheets, service manuals and catalog data. Where a value is absent from the source document, the page says "Not available" rather than estimating or filling the gap. We do not invent parameters.
AI-assisted preparation
Parts of the narrative content — overviews, technical notes and sourcing commentary — are prepared with AI assistance. The AI works from the same source documents; it does not add facts the source does not support. Every product page carries an "AI-generated · verify with manufacturer" notice so readers know which sections are editorial.
Verification expectation
Automation hardware is safety- and process-critical. Specifications, compatibility and lifecycle status change over time, and revision suffixes can change connector, firmware or approval behaviour. We ask every reader to verify critical parameters against the original manufacturer documentation before purchase, installation or integration. Where a datasheet is available it is linked on the product page under Documents.
Classification rules
Products are grouped into families using the manufacturer's own "Range of Product" wording or the model-number scheme — never from guesswork. Parts that do not belong to a defined platform are collected in an "Other Automation Parts" section and may be reclassified as the catalogue grows, always from documented evidence.
Updates
Each page records when its source data was last reviewed, and listing pages show the most recent update across the catalogue. Corrections and new datasheets are folded in through the same pipeline that produced the original entries, so updates are traceable rather than ad hoc. See the About page for who operates the wiki.
Trademarks
Manufacturer names, part numbers and logos are the trademarks of their respective owners and are used for identification purposes only.
